Stuffed Stockings - Ideas for Kids Stocking Stuffers

When deciding what to place in those stuffed stockings, remember that the best stocking stuffers for kids will be unique.
Instead of the standard candy canes, chocolate, and lifesavers, there are many fun treats that are now available with a little searching effort. A variation to the candy cane is a hard candy peppermint spoon, which will definitely spruce up the hot chocolate on Christmas morning.

Kids love wearing candy jewelry so add a peppermint ring to the stocking so that they can show off their candy cane bling.
How about adding what the astronauts eat, astronaut ice cream? Although this dry freeze treat is not as delicious as the real thing, their curiosity will be ignited. Magic milk straws are also an affordable treat. With little pellets in the straw that flavor the milk as it passes through, the future of drinking milk is here, with flavors such as Cookies N Cream. A few educational stocking stuffers should find their way into the stocking, but that does not mean that they cannot be exciting for the kids.
Doesn't a Coke-Mentos geyser that rockets soda 25 feet in the air sound fun? With a little imagination, you can make this an experimental exercise for your children by asking a few questions.

Does Coke or Diet Coke rocket higher? How does the quantity of Mentos affect the height? Since I live in Arizona, I am planning on adding instant snow. Instant snow is a super polymer that expands 100 times with water to resemble fluffy snow.
Who would have thought that you could even guarantee a White Christmas with a stocking stuffer? Another affordable and fun stocking stuffer is a tornado tube.
All you will need is a few two liter bottles and this simple tube will create vortex action. Keeping up with your kids trends may be a little more difficult, but they can make for fun stocking stuffers if you get it right. Balance bracelets for boys and hair feathers for girls are popular now.
Just remember that trendy items are usually gender and age sensitive.

Useful stocking stuffers such as an extra stereo ear bud set, Nintendo DS stylus, batteries, toothbrush, and a book lamp help to fill the stocking.

Does your child have a hobby? If so, add a stocking stuffer that will add to their collection or interest.
This is also a good time to see if a simple gift will spur a new found passion.

You never know if you may have the next Houdini in your family.

A simple magic trick will be fun and exciting for the whole family.

Finally, it is important to get your kids giggling.

A few gag stocking stuffers will do that.
Fake teeth, trick gum, and a whoopee cushion all bring laughter.
Just remember that these will be used against you at some point, so be prepared to laugh! As a parent, you will know you did a great job if your kids make a beeline for the stuffed stockings.

Just remember to focus on the unique and your whole family will have lasting fun and fond memories.
